It turns out the KMFDM's Krank has been charting on Billboard's Top Dance Singles since it was released. Debuting at # 3 the single has spent 6 weeks on the chart, 4 of them in the top 10. It sits this week at # 18. Also this week Krank has moved toward the bottom of the Billboard Singles Chart sliding to # 94. Krank remains comfortably at # 5 for the fifth week on the German Alternative Single Charts. On the German Alternative Album Charts Dependence 2011 and Advanced Electronics 8 remain unchanged at # 4 and # 8 respectively.

OK•ZTEIN•OK is Käpt'n K. working alone, estranged from outside influences, producing new, yet classic, music and sound-scapes.

Due to unforeseeable circumstances KMFDM will not be able to perform at the upcoming Kinetik Festival on May 19th, 2011 as scheduled and planned. The band is sincerely distraught by this fact, but it is beyond their control. Nevertheless KMFDM encourages you to attend, support and enjoy the festival, it's a great line-up and they would have loved to be a part of it!
The festival promoter will announce a refund procedure for tickets purchased for that night's show shortly.

A Statement From Al Jourgensen And Sascha Konietzko
This statement is being released in an effort to clarify the many concerns that have been expressed directly to us by our friends, fans, supporters and the media in regards to the Wax Trax! Records "Retrospectacle" being held in Chicago, IL, at the Metro on April 15 and 16, 2011.
We both wish to avoid any misunderstandings, miscommunication and misrepresentations regarding this event. To that effect we formally announce that the bands Ministry, KMFDM and Revolting Cocks will NOT be attending or performing at this event. Al Jourgensen was NEVER asked to participate, and Sascha Konietzko's (and KMFDM's) desire to participate and perform was DECLINED by the event organizers.
However, while we are both in no way associated with this event, we want to make it clear that we DO support the good works of the charity involved and honor the memory of Wax Trax! founders Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher.

The WTF?! artwork features a humorously suggestive, yet ultimately destructive cover illustration by KMFDM contributor Brute!, a fitting visual for this sly but brutal release.

The following is a statement from KMFDM's Sascha K.:
I would like to thank our fans for all of your positive comments during our recent website/internet shutdown. This move was made in support of Julian Assange and his Wikileaks project to show solidarity with them over the now well documented government backed harassment they were enduring.
We replaced our site with a version of a new song we had just finished called "Rebels In Kontrol (DoS Mix)" as it had a similar theme to the events taking place surrounding Wikileaks. We never could have imagined the stream would be accessed in excess of 75,000 times in less than two days.
My favorite part about the whole action we took was that subsequent to our announcement of support for Wikileaks KMFDM DOTKOM was the target of a massive DoS attack that shut down our server! You know you have properly engaged the enemy when they come after you!
As a "thank you" to everyone who listened to the stream and who have supported us in our efforts to stand with those who wish to hold governments accountable for their actions "Rebels In Kontrol (DoS Mix)" will remain available here for a few more weeks.

KMFDM are excited to announce that two classic KMFDM songs are among the initial tracks now available in the newly launched RockBandNetwork Store exclusively for Microsoft's XBox360. The songs A Drug Against War and Juke-Joint Jezebel can now be downloaded from the RockBandNetwork.
The music tracks were compiled and authored for gameplay with the highest level of involvement from KMFDM. If the songs are well received more songs will become available and they will be considered for release to the PS3 and Wii platforms. KMFDM fans have been asking for something like this for a while now, so gentlemen, start your controllers!

Recently Michael Atkinson, the Attorney General of South Australia, had been pushing new laws censoring political blogs and comments on the internet during election periods unless the sites collect and publish the poster's personal data. He went so far as to claim particular posts that disagreed with his agenda were not made by real people but were fabricated by his opposition. He stated plainly that a particular poster did not exist. Luckily the person he singled out was an outspoken politically aware KMFDM fan named Aaron F.
Aaron made himself known to the media and even ended up meeting with the Attorney General presenting his case against these internet censorship laws which have now ended up being retracted. Thank you Aaron for standing up for freedom and the truth. Fans like you make us proud. Check out Aaron giving an interview to ABC in his Symbols shirt.

KMFDM presents Extra. Extra is a three volume set of double disc collections of all KMFDM tracks not included on the ten KMFDM Classic albums. Extra features remastered tracks culled from the band's 12" vinyl singles, CD singles and alternate versions of albums. All of the material on Extra has been out of print for many years with some songs appearing on CD for the first time ever.
Continuing the tradition started with the KMFDM Classic releases the accompanying booklets for the Extra series are packed with exciting material. Highlights include cover art from every album and single from which cuts were taken (most covers are by famed KMFDM cohort Brute!) and never before seen photos of the band. As it has been with all the KMFDM re-releases, work on this series, from the remastering to the packaging, has been done with the highest level of participation from Sascha K., KMFDM's leader and founder.
Extra Volume 1 is comprised of songs from the Z-Records release of the What Do You Know Deutschland? album in 1986 to the Money single in 1992. This two disc set houses 27 tracks, over 2 hours and 18 minutes of music. Extra Vol. 1 features the original 12" mixes of tons of KMFDM hits: "Godlike", "Money", "Naïve", "More & Faster", "Vogue", "Sex on the Flag", "Virus", "Don't Blow Your Top", "Split" and more!

ReGen Magazine has named KMFDM's Tohuvabohu one of the Top 10 Albums of 2007. Also on the list are 16 Volt's Full Black Habit and Combichrist's What The Fuck Is Wrong With You People?, both of which feature appearances by members of KMFDM. Additionally, KMFDM's past opening act Angelspit's Krankhouse CD made the list. All three of these bands have contributed remixes to KMFDM's upcoming remix album Brimborium!

KMFDM, on the cusp of their 24th year, present their first full blown remix album ever, Brimborium. The album features 13 tracks and clocks in at over 73 minutes running time, offering dancefloor freaks and ultra heavy beat fans a disc that is packed with remixes and never before released material.
'Brimborium' can be loosely translated as "something with no meaning or value", perhaps a comment on most bands’ approaches to a remix record, but not so with KMFDM! Aside from an all-star cast heavily reworking tracks on the CD, the accompanying booklet features explosive new artwork from Brute! and liner notes that tell the behind-the-scenes story of KMFDM’s Fan Phone. Once again KMFDM proves they are “the power you can trust!”
