KMFDM presents Extra. Extra is a three volume set of double disc collections of all KMFDM tracks not included on the ten KMFDM Classic albums. Extra features remastered tracks culled from the band's 12" vinyl singles, CD singles and alternate versions of albums. All of the material on Extra has been out of print for many years with some songs appearing on CD for the first time ever. Continuing the tradition started with the KMFDM Classic releases the accompanying booklets for the Extra series are packed with exciting material. Highlights include cover art from every album and single from which cuts were taken (most covers are by famed KMFDM cohort Brute!) and never before seen photos of the band. As it has been with all the KMFDM re-releases, work on this series, from the remastering to the packaging, has been done with the highest level of participation from Sascha K., KMFDM's leader and founder. Extra Volume 1 is comprised of songs from the Z-Records release of the What Do You Know Deutschland? album in 1986 to the Money single in 1992. This two disc set houses 27 tracks, over 2 hours and 18 minutes of music. Extra Vol. 1 features the original 12" mixes of tons of KMFDM hits: "Godlike", "Money", "Naïve", "More & Faster", "Vogue", "Sex on the Flag", "Virus", "Don't Blow Your Top", "Split" and more! Extra Vol. 1 will be available on KMFDM Records/Metropolis Records. More info can be found at KMFDM Records News. |

KMFDM, on the cusp of their 24th year, present their first full blown remix album ever, Brimborium. The album features 13 tracks and clocks in at over 73 minutes running time, offering dancefloor freaks and ultra heavy beat fans a disc that is packed with remixes and never before released material. 'Brimborium' can be loosely translated as "something with no meaning or value", perhaps a comment on most bands’ approaches to a remix record, but not so with KMFDM! Aside from an all-star cast heavily reworking tracks on the CD, the accompanying booklet features explosive new artwork from Brute! and liner notes that tell the behind-the-scenes story of KMFDM’s Fan Phone. Once again KMFDM proves they are “the power you can trust!” Brimborium will be available on KMFDM Records/Metropolis Records on February 19. More info is available at KMFDM Records News. |

KMFDM, now in their 23rd year, remain a musical entity to be reckoned with. Through relentless experimentation and reinvention they have continued to top themselves. KMFDM’s new album, Tohuvabohu, is no exception. ‘Tohuvabohu,’ an Old Testament word meaning “wild and chaotic,” perfectly captures the spirit and energy behind the tracks. While staying true to the Ultra Heavy Beat, Tohuvabohu also dares to venture into new territory, ultimately destroying everything in its path. KMFDM invites you to celebrate chaos with Tohuvabohu. “Get ready, set, all systems go!” Tohuvabohu will be available on KMFDM Records/Metropolis Records on August 21. The press kit was written by KMFDM contributor Nicole Blackman. At Sascha K.'s request she turned the usual language of press releases around using her mock insulting tone which is familiar to KMFDM fans from her performance on the classic track "Dogma". KMFDM would like to apologize to our fans. KMFDM DOTKOM, KMFDM Records and the KMFDM Store were all down for most of the day yesterday, February 7. The outage was caused by the massive number of simultaneous hits all three sites began receiving as a result of the announcement of the imminent re-release of Nihil and Xtort in Field Communication 0123 sent on February 6th. This has happened only twice before and each time our trusty server comes right back up and we add more bandwidth and redundancy to prevent it from happening again. This time it took a little more to fix but in the end no data was lost and here we are, back up and running. KMFDM DOTKOM is sorry for the outage and wishes to thank everyone for being patient while we were down and for all of your amazing enthusiasm which caused the crash in the first place! |

KMFDM once again proudly announces the upcoming release of the next round of KMFDM Classics on Metropolis Records/KMFDM Records. Two of the aces from the deck of KMFDM's back catalog, Nihil (1995) and Xtort (1996) will be released on Tuesday, March 6th. They are already available in the KMFDM Store for Preorder (for more details see the KMFDM Store News). Each CD has been digitally remastered and includes a booklet featuring the original album art, extensive liner notes, lyrics for each song, never before seen photos of the band and more. The booklets have been expanded to 24 pages to hold all the new material. As with the previous KMFDM Classics, all work on the releases, from the remastering to the packaging, has been done with the highest level of participation from Sascha K., KMFDM’s leader and founder. |
